Carlisle Tire & Wheel Company is a division of Carlisle Companies Inc dating way back to 1917 when Charles Moomy began the Carlisle Tire and Rubber Company. Soon it began producing inner tubes for automobiles and it continued to grow through the 1920s.

The stock market crashed in the 20s and Carlisle like many other companies found themselves struggling. By the late 1930s they were fighting to stay out of bankruptcy. By WWII changes to the rubber industry improved business for the Carlisle company.

In 1943 the Carlisle Tire and Rubber Company was purchased by Pharis Tire in 1943 but they were still showing significant losses and by 1949 they were forced to liquidate and the stock was redistributed. The company then took on the name Carlisle Corporation. By the 1960s thing were looking pretty good at Carlisle with the production of aerospace accessories and recreational tires. Today they continue to be a major industry player in the recreational tire market.

Carlisle ATV tires are built to last and they are affordable. They provide an alternative to more expensive brands and they are readily available online from a variety of sources. So why not give them a try?
